Welcome to my online journal of crocheting in my life and my life in crocheting!
Ok - after an interesting interval of silence from me for about six months I have returned. I will try to post more often than I did in the past. Try being the operative word here. It's rather hard with a full time job, a full time family and a part-time online business. My ebay store is doing well - I've received a lot of orders and sales. Just right now I'm not available becuase I forgot to pay my ebay fees -oopsie
So I'll get those paid and be able to list stuff again. Not to mention get back into my ebay group discussions. I'm also working on my own website. I had one before but shut it down due to lack of sales. But I'm going to try again and see how it does. I've gotten into doing girls clothing. That's a real big seller on ebay. I'm doing halters, hats, head scarfs, flip flops etc. Here's a peek at some that I've done:

Ok - So I know its been a looooong while since I've posted. I have been incredibly busy trying to get all my poncho and shawl orders done. I'm almost there - I want to get them all out before Christmas (which is next week - yikes!). I have about 15 to do by then - I hope I make it. I was asked to join this really neat E-bay design group called The Lollipop Gang. A nice group of ladies who do handcrafted childrens clothing and jewelry. We're supposed to launch in January, so we'll see how that goes. I just want to get all these orders done!!! I am tired of crocheting! GASP! DID I SAY THAT OUT LOUD?! Ok - let's just say I want to move on to some new designs. I haven't been able to crochet anything new becuase I have been working on the orders. Hopefully that will change soon. I also want to branch out in to painting on jeans and other children/adult clothing. Believe me, I've done almost every craft imagineable and I know this poncho craze is going to peter out soon if it hasn't already. I did really, really well with it on E-Bay - far better than I thought I ever would so I am grateful for that.
I've posted pictures of my best sellers. Enjoy!

Ok - had yesterday off from work and will have tomorrow off too. Caught up on some orders and visited the post office to mail out packages. I hope to catch up on more. Why is it that time seems to fly when I am at home and drag at work? At home, before I know it - time has gone and I haven't done nearly everything that I wanted to do. Oh well - I'll just keep plugging along and hope for the best.
This was an order for a customer - I think it came out nice in blue. I also did one in grey/black shades with black chiffon strips. The yarn is Bernat Soft Boucle - very soft and the texture is nice.
Well gotta get ready for work -
More later
TTFN!

Weekends go by so quick - seems like there's no time to do much of anything that I want to do; so busy doing what I have to do (clean house, do the wash, etc.) Had Friday off from woek and tried to catch up on orders; made some progess but not enough. I keep getting interrupted by one thing or another. But the weekend was enjoyable anyway. Spent half of Friday at the stores; Sat was spent working on orders and puttering around the house. Went in the afternoon to see #1 daughter compete in high school marching band competitiion. They're small but good - rated a 2 out of 5; better than last weeks competition. In the evening Hubby, #2 Daughter and I went to our local college football game; that was fun. Crowded though - team is winning so everyone wants to be a part. We had to park a mile away and walk - uphill, in the snow, both ways. Just Kidding!
The weather was beautiful. Has been warm but with cool nights. Anyway, Sunday was spent at the grocery store in the morning. Then #2 Daughter and I decorated out house for Halloween. Shes all excited and can't wait to do trick or treating. She's going to dreass as a witch/vampiress with this fancy long velvet dress with bell sleeves. I bought her a long black wig with a white stripe down the middle (a-la whats-her-name from the Munsters) and got her black nail polish and lipstick and other junk to paint her face. #3 daughter is going to be a baby witch - cute little purple and black costume with attached mini cape and witches hat.
Here's a couple of items I've finished: the Persimmon is in my Ebay store and the girls black Fall poncho has sold.
TTFN!!!!
Ok - here I go!! My first journal entry!
I hope to post here my thoughts and comments on crochet and my projects. And probably on everything else too.
I started crocheting as a hobby. Now, it's becoming a business as I now have my own website and E-bay Store where I sell my ponchos and shawls for adults and children. I'm having good success with E-Bay - I have lots of orders and can hardly keep up!! Since I work full time, it's hard to get the items completed and shipped out but I'm doing the best that I can. My customers have all been really patient for their items. I take a lot of custom orders that are made to my customers likes and wants. Theres so many new patterns and projects I want to get to - and I haven't had time!
Well, more later - have to get back to crocheting!!!
